Here’s our latest sprint roundup! But first . . .

Seventh Sanctum got mentioned and used at Drawfee!

So what have I done since last time?

  • In General: I had a tough week – hurt my back. I’ve recovered, but ouch.
  • Way With Worlds: Chugging along on the Fashion book. Figuring it’ll be out very late May or early June. It’s gone deeper than I expected, which is good – amazing how much clothes are part of a society.
  • Seventh Sanctum Book: The core philosophy section is done (well in draft), and I’m on to an examples section. That one is proving fun to write as it explores the concepts.
  • Seventh Sanctum: Didn’t get to the new generator yet, and I had delays in my tech review.
  • Next Novel: The next novel is tentatively called “A School Of Many Futures” and I had a real breakthrough on plotting. I won’t really start it until the fall, but it’s looking promising.

What’s next?

  • Way With Worlds: Keep writing the Fashion book. Really, I can keep repeating this as I write these constantly.
  • Seventh Sanctum Book: I should finish the example section, and hopefully move on to the practical advice section.
  • Seventh Sanctum: Try to get back to the new generator and my study of Python.

Steve’s Update 4/1/2019

As noted, I’m now putting these out every two weeks – in time with my new Sprint structure of bi-weekly sprints.

So what have I done since last time?

  • Way With Worlds: The City Worldbuilding book is out! Go and check it out.
  • Seventh Sanctum Book: I’ve expanded the book while writing it, finding out other things I should tell people about. It’s really becoming a kind of multi-section textbook, which is good as my initial concept was honestly too light. The new version should give much deeper advice.
  • Seventh Sanctum: My plan to redesign the site is being delayed – I realized I wanted to more explore improvements, so I’m going to use them as a bit of a lab to really upgrade the site and am for more next year. I also didn’t get work done on the latest generator.

What’s next?

  • Way With Worlds: Keep writing the Fashion book! Pretty much the same old same old.
  • Seventh Sanctum Book: I should finish the core philosophy section this week easily, and get on to some more instructional sections.
  • Seventh Sanctum: Work on that new generator. I’ll probably delay my studies for a bit to get that done.

It’s been a calmer week, so let’s see what’s up!

So what have I done the last week?

  • Way With Worlds: I’ve outlined the next book while the City book gets edited – it’s on fashion!
  • Expanded Distribution: All my books except A Bridge To The Quiet Planet and my fandom-specific books are out I may not do the Focused Fandom series – I’m worried it’s aged a bit.
  • Seventh Sanctum Book: I don’t have a title yet, but I’ve started in on my book on randomness, Generators, and creativity! My plan is to get it done this year, but right now as a lot’s going on, I’m not sure of my pace.

What’s next?

  • Way With Worlds: I hope to get the book back from my editor, but it may not be until late. I’ll also start on the Fashion book.
  • Seventh Sanctum Book: I’ll be writing that! So yeah, pretty much that.
  • Seventh Sanctum: Still practicing some code improvement!
