Here’s my latest update. Things got a little behind because of a lot of chaos – schedule changes, exhaustion from my fourth shot (little nausea, but definitely some tired), etc.

The Way With Worlds series: “Misinformation, Disinformation, Propaganda, and Worldbuilding” has been edited after the above disruptions.  Now it’s just a matter of getting it out this week.  I’ve attached the cover below – tell me that doesn’t have impact!

“The Agile Writer’s Mindset”:  I did a few tweaks on this to get a crude outline.  The next goal is the “official” outline then to start writing.

The Compendium of Writing Advice: Yeah, not giving up on this but boy I didn’t touch it this week.

The Seventh Sanctum rewrite: The Anime Attack generator, the last one, is halfway done.  It’s taking time because instead of a “one off” I’m using this to build in more options into the code.  I’ve honestly forgotten how complicated some of this is, but then again when you have a 20+ year old site . . .

Note, I’m thinking of making these bi-weekly to coincide with the larger status in my newsletter. Really, not enough interesting happens between less than two weeks!

The Way With Worlds series: “Misinformation, Disinformation, Propaganda, and Worldbuilding” is going to be late due to my editor catching a cold (just a cold).  So no big deal there, expect it around mid-April.  It’s going to be pretty awesome, in my hum.ble opinion, so I don’t mind a delay – and I’ve caught up on more things (see below).  Also banging out new covers when I can.

“The Agile Writer’s Mindset”:  Because of the Way With Worlds delay, I’ve already brainstormed this out one into a partial outline and will start writing in about two weeks!  The basic idea of the book is to look at major “parts” of writing, and how to develop a healthy Agile approach to each.  For instance, learning how to write sustainably and not burn yourself out.

The Compendium of Writing Advice: Still in mind, but not edited.  I’ll revisit after the next WWW book is out.

The Seventh Sanctum rewrite: OK now one generator left (the Anime Attack one) and I’ve got it.  I’m also solidifying code here and there and have a completely functional test site!  So Q2 is definitely in my sights, and I’ve figured out a way to build in some failover to go to the old site.  After over a year – during crazy times – it’s happening.

The Way With Worlds series: “Misinformation, Disinformation, Propaganda, and Worldbuilding” goes to the editor today or tomorrow.  A bit of a haul to write, but I think you’ll enjoy it!  The cover-redo looks promising – I found I can remake one cover in 15 minutes or so.  That’s easy, its republishing each book that would be a pain.

“The Agile Writer’s Mindset”:  Pretty sure it’ll start somewhere around mid-April.  I may take a vacation in April which may give me time or interfere.  A slight delay wont be a problem – Agile is all about adaptability!

The Compendium of Writing Advice: On hold until things are a little saner.

The Seventh Sanctum rewrite: The generator conversion is done, except for one or two holdouts (and one I think I can fix with a slight rewrite).  So as I clear things up I’ll do some testing of the site.  Right now it’s launchable, but I’d like to get these other parts out of the way an work out a few extra bits to handle things like generator redirection.
