Two giveaways are in progress!

A School of Many Futures’s cover is done and the ebook is being formatted. It’s mostly ready, but I want to do some cleanup and make sure the copy is “clean” from the ODT. I’m 80% sure I’ll be launching it this week.

“The Agile Writer’s Mindset” is something I am not thinking about. I want to get the book out. More and more I think this might be fun to write by doing zoom meetings with some of my readers!

The Way With Worlds series is – yep – not something I think about until next week or so.

The Seventh Sanctum rewrite is still chugging along. I cleaned up and reviewed the code, but have to make some design decisions on speed versus a more maintainable environment. The last three generators I held off on reveal both some useful code changes, but also some questions. In the end, I think I’m going for maintainable – which means creating some more generator options “behind the scenes” as it were. Long-term it’s worth it, but it means undoing some shortcuts.

A School of Many Futures is assembled! Now it’s one final spellcheck on the entire document just in case, some formatting tweaks, finishing the cover, and eBook formatting. My worry – ironically – is the cover, which is very experimental. I may do that last and accept that if it looks bad in print, I can switch it.

“The Agile Writer’s Mindset”: Hasn’t been on my mind as much for obvious reasons. I’m debating brainstorming WITH you folks on it . . .

The Way With Worlds series: Yeah, we know, not until November, covers coming whenever.

The Seventh Sanctum rewrite: Three generators left, though it’s been a little hard right now with work and a very, very hard to find bug in the superhero name generator. Starting to kick around an idea – maybe I launch with most generators and just get the oddballs later? I also need to work out a rerouting system for the old generators.

I did a lot of giveaways and yeah, it got out of hand. So here’s a quick list.

A School of Many Futures is in a final check and assembly. Near the end of the week, the book will be fully assembled, and the final check is one readthrough. Then it’s on to formatting!

“The Agile Writer’s Mindset” is still in the idea phase. But I am seeing how I have to balance practical exercises with psychology. I don’t want to prescribe a writing method, but methods that help you think different.

The Way With Worlds series still on hold until November. I’ll probably begin tackling the book late Sept/early October depending on how the publishing of ASOMF goes!

The Seventh Sanctum rewrite marches on, and is now down to three generators to rewrite. Well two rewrites and one involving annoyingly tricky configurations. More I think about it, maybe I should have finished up ASOMF before doing this, or just taken a 1-2 month break to deep dive on code. But live and learn!
