This update is a bit chaotic – lots of people I know going through stuff, from surgeries to family challenges. So I’m not quite where I wanted to be.

But first, I am in a TON of giveaways. Check them out for some free books and samples:

So what have I done since last time?

  • Way With Worlds: I didn’t outline the next book yet, as I was selecting subject – and folks on my newsletter gave me some feedback. Right now it’s probably going to be either Gods and Deities or Economics.
  • Chance’s Muse: I didn’t get a chance to edit this for obvious reasons.
  • A School Of Many Futures: Had a few bumpy spots, and I realized I’d “over outlined” it – on top of trying to write while busy. I’m rewriting the first two chapters to get a feel. So the book is probably out September next year instead of August.
  • Seventh Sanctum: Started looking into the Python prototypes again, and I’m tackling the most difficult generator.

What’s next?

  • Way With Worlds: Ok, NOW I plan to outline the next one and start it. Really.
  • Chance’s Muse: I’m going to try to sit down and edit in one giant go. I want it done end of October so I can publish it.
  • A School Of Many Futures: Finish my chapter rewrite then tear into it.
  • Seventh Sanctum: Keep going! Gods, this has been interrupted so much.
  • General: Recover from all the chaos of course.

Steve’s Update 9/22/2019

With August out of the way and more time to focus, I’ve had some good results on my projects! Let’s check in!

So what have I done since last time?

  • Way With Worlds: The News Worldbuilding Book is out! Go get it! Go buy it for friends! Go tell friends!
  • Chance’s Muse: The Seventh Sanctum came back from the editor!
  • A School Of Many Futures: Is now being written. The good news is it is shaping up – the bad is it’s a tough little story with all sorts of challenges. Since it is a sort of “double reverse Harry Potter” where two teachers and their friends find a normal school is brimming with conspiracies and chosen ones, it presents many interesting choices. I’m powering ahead, but at the very least Chapter 1 and 2 are going to be heavily revised.
  • Seventh Sanctum: Finally returning to this. What a few weeks.

What’s next?

  • Way With Worlds: I plan to outline the next book – I want to do one more before the new year!
  • Chance’s Muse: I’ll likely edit it in the next two weeks so I can start formatting.
  • A School Of Many Futures: Keep writing! I’m powering through now – and trying a few interesting tricks . . .
  • Seventh Sanctum: Get back to the Python prototypes and maybe (finally) a new generator (I’d like something to celebrate the new book with!)

Sorry for the lateness of the blog posts, by the way. It was one of those weeks. So let’s see what’s up!

So what have I done since last time?

  • Way With Worlds: The News and Worldbuilding book is done! Now for the next step!
  • Chance’s Muse: The Seventh Sanctum book is also done! I’ve been on a roll!
  • A School Of Many Futures: The sequel to “A Bridge To The Quiet Planet” plotting is still going on. I wanted it done this week, but due to delays, it won’t be ready to write for another two weeks.

What’s next?

  • Way With Worlds: The news book goes off to the editor!
  • Chance’s Muse: Also off to the editor! You may sense a theme.
  • A School Of Many Futures: Work on the plotting of course. I will have the major outline and possibly a full scene-by scene in about 3 weeks. Hopefully.
  • Seventh Sanctum: OK I didn’t get back to Python or new generators, but I’m going to try harder this time 😉
