Here’s my latest update!

So what have I done the last week(s)?

  • Moving: Well, the move continues.  Actually most of it is done.  My goal is to finish it – and get back on top of all of my projects.  So far that’s promising.
  • A Bridge To The Quiet Planet: I actually got back to editing.  There’s two major arcs I need to work on, one of which will involve some noteable rewrites to enhance characters.  However it looks very good to be ready for pre-readers end of March.  However publication is probably September.
  • Long-Term Planning: I’ve been working on my long-term plans, more on that later.

What am I going to do this week:

  • Move: Well, that’s obvious.
  • A Bridge To The Quiet Planet: I hope to do more editing.
  • Writing: Going to aim for some blogging as well.

General

  • My long-term writing planning is shaping up.  Largely it’ll be upgrading some of my small career books, a few smaller books (probably including Way With Worlds minibooks), and starting a book on Randomness and Imagination.
  • For Seventh Sanctum long-term I want to work on new generators, of course, but also some resource pages.

Here’s my latest update . . . and a bit late as things got wacky.

So what have I done the last week(s)?

  • “A Bridge To The Quiet Planet”: Back to editing it in arcs.  There’s probably 1-2 more months of editing before it goes to prereader.  So stay tuned.
  • Way With Worlds Minibooks: The prices are going up to $2.99 because several authors noted that, ironically, people don’t take 99 cents seriously.  Let’s see if this gets more people’s attention; as weird as it sounds, I’ve heard this from several people.
  • Agile Guide: Is being edited and will be out in a few weeks as a free book.
  • Other: My roommate has got a new job in the area and plans to move.  I had planned to move in with my girlfriend.  However this is all a tad sudden, so I need to get a move done in a few weeks.

What am I going to do this week:

  • “A Bridge To The Quiet Planet:” Editing arcs, and its pretty promising, though I’m still a bit burnt out on editing.  Let’s see how that goes now that I got other things out of the way.
  • The Move:  I’m going to try to make it go smoothly and without interruption.  Let’s see if it actually works.
  • Other Stuff: I had planned to do other things, maybe do some generator work but I kinda have to figure this move thing out.

General

  • As noted the move may mess with my plans – or it may not.  I honestly don’t know because I HAD set aside time for a slower month and had been preparing (even if I thought it was a few months off).
  • I am still a bit burnt out on writing so new projects may be a bit delayed – like editing books.
  • I am gearing up for con season and am submitting calls to cons for speaking.

Happy Neww Year!  So let’s catch up – and see what’s coming up next!

So what have I done the last week?

  • “A Bridge To The Quiet Planet”: Took a break.  That break lasts this week in theory, though I am making notes.  I want to see if relaxing helps me with it.
  • Way With Worlds Minibook #6: Is out.  Go get it!
  • Seventh Sanctum: The new “Punk” Genre generator is out!
  • Blog: Finished up my stuff on my personal agile methods.
  • Other Stuff: New year’s even party of course!

What am I going to do this week:

  • “A Bridge To The Quiet Planet:” On break, but am making some notes on plot improvements.   If all goes well then I may get to thre rewriting of arcs – but if not I may take more of a break.  I’m considering moving the publishing date to September not August to give me peace and quiet.
  • Other Stuff: Mostly catching up on the new year.

General

  • I’m using this month to slow down a bit – net year December will be my slow-down month.
  • I plan to use this month to probably tweak Seventh Sanctum and do some work with that.  I was going to start other writing, but I need a break.
  • I do want to get my personal Agile essays into a book.
